Misshel is finishing her major in Anthropology and minor in Literature and Media at Sophia University. Misshel’s hobbies include: watching movies, cycling along the coast of her native Hyogo, and exploring Tokyo to broaden her understanding of its inhabitants.
Misshel wants to know how people’s background, environment, and experiences inform one’s behavior and the ways they express themselves and she is most passionate about issues affecting children.
Having a multicultural upbringing, Misshel experienced the struggles of a typical Japanese education and a Muslim Pakistani household. As her younger brothers take their future steps, She feels a need for change, detecting a sizable gap between society and education. However, Misshel joined Horizon because she found a place where she could explore ideas of all kinds, question her world, and take direct action.
